Japanese-Speaking Hospital in Los Angeles/Torrance
Personalized Medical Care

Osato Medical Clinic was founded on March 1, 2001, for patients who wish to receive medical care with the comfort and reassurance of Japanese-language services.
During my residency training, I encountered many travelers and Japanese individuals who struggled to fully communicate their symptoms in English. Through helping them, I realized that there was a large Japanese community in the Los Angeles South Bay area and a strong need for a Japanese-speaking medical facility. My wife and I opened this clinic together. What started as a small clinic run by just the two of us has grown, with the understanding and support of our community, into a general internal medicine and gastroenterology practice with 26 staff members. Today, we strive to serve as a family practice, caring for every member of the family, and we are honored to serve as the primary care physician for many of our patients.
We firmly believe that true medical care goes beyond physical healing alone -- it must also encompass healing of the mind and spirit to achieve "whole-person medicine" (To Make Man Whole Through Christ's Love). We are also committed, more than ever, to preventive medicine through health checkups for early detection, as well as health education to promote overall wellness, so that our patients do not suffer from illness. In particular, we are dedicated to the prevention, early detection, and treatment of cancers that are difficult to treat. To achieve these goals, we continually pursue advanced medical knowledge and strive to provide the highest quality, state-of-the-art medical care.
We believe that medical care should be centered on the patient. We practice medicine from the patient's perspective and respect every patient's rights. We welcome constructive feedback from our patients and strive each day to build a clinic that can fully meet their needs, renewing our commitment with each passing day.
Thank you for your trust and support. Masaharu Osato
